Lorenzo Serrao received a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino (Italy) in 2003 and a PhD, also in Mechanical Engineering, from the Ohio State University (USA) in 2009. During his PhD he focused on control strategies for energy management of hybrid electric vehicles. From 2010 to 2011, he was a researcher in powertrain engineering and optimal control for hybrid electric vehicles at IFP Energies Nouvelles, Rueil-Malmaison (France).
Since 2012, he is a Sr. Engineer at Dana Incorporated, Off-Highway Advanced Engineering, in Rovereto (Italy). He works on new powertrain technologies including electric and hydraulic hybrid systems.
